In a state of constant fear, anxiety, uncertainty, exclusion … surrounded by events that we try to give some meaning to... physically, emotionally, mentally provoked, exhausted ... in the world, in a society where actions seem to speak louder than words and words are no longer heard ... where we don't want to see and are afraid to look but we have to keep on going in order to survive together.
The Show Must Go On deconstructs the meaning of circus, portraying post-pandemic autobiographical stories connected to individuality, togetherness and breaking through a translation of society that is projected on to our bodies. Somewhere between passive following and rebellious action we overcome the struggle to obey, to comply and fit in a world that no longer exists as before. As with the show, life must also go on... exhausted but stronger than ever before, if we can find ourselves and come together.
