SHITCRIPT HAPPENS

PERFORMANCE SYMPOSIUM 2026

New works from BA Theatre 2026

&

new works & repertoire from BA Dance 2026

Script Happens offers a ground-breaking Theatre Festival of new work from Middlesex University's BA Theatre class of 2026.
New Horizons Festival provides an opportunity for Dance Students in their final year of the BA Dance programmes at Middlesex to come together and showcase their performance and creative work.

This year’s line-up features four brand new scripted theatre pieces, three new choreographic works and an extract of repertoire.

Theatre pieces explore the power of songwriting, hilarity of London transport, the cost of stardom, and perpetual notes from your director.

Dance pieces have been curated to challenge our aspiring artists to explore their identity through performance and making processes.

Henry takes the tube home every day.

Today, he saw a woman tie herself to the train tracks.

Out of fear and British politeness, Henry decided it wasn’t his

place to intervene. Every day, commuters see dancer and look

the other way. Don’t be like Henry. Help us make London safe.

The star follows Donna, an ambitious young performer whose relationships begin to fracture as a
manipulative director pits dancers against one another and the pressure to succeed intensifies.
When opportunity finally arrives in the most unexpected way, this piece asks a chilling question:

what would you give to be unforgettable?

Hey, fashion friends! Polly enters with her two bandmates, Kerstie and Shani, ready to rock the house

- when a dreaded glitch crashes her perfectly currated video game world.

The story follows Polly’s longing for more than an accessory-filled life, taking audiences on a journey

from pixels to real life, as she discovers the epic power of music and the fabulous force of friendship.
